​Ahsan Habib appointed full Secy, NBR Chairman Ahsan Habib

 Md Ahsan Habib has been appointed full secretary of the Internal Resources Division and chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR).
 
The Public Administration Ministry issued a notification on Monday, confirming his appointment. He had previously served as acting secretary and acting NBR chairman.
 
According to the notification, he has been appointed on deputation under the president’s 10 per cent quota and will return to his parent cadre before retirement.
 
A member of the 15th BCS tax cadre, Ahsan Habib joined government service on November 15, 1995. He has held various key positions in tax administration, including director general and additional director general of the Central Intelligence Cell and the Tax Inspection Directorate.
